1. What this service is

Ask Hany is an AI-generated conversational service operated by ISG FZ-LLC. It is designed to extend Hany Salem’s sustainability and LEED teaching when he is unavailable. It is not Hany Salem speaking live, and no response should be represented as personally reviewed or approved by him unless that is stated separately in writing.

2. Educational information, not professional advice

Responses are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They are not professional engineering, architectural, environmental, commissioning, certification, legal, financial, or other project-specific advice. Use of the service does not create a consultant-client, instructor-student, fiduciary, or other professional relationship with ISG FZ-LLC or Hany Salem.

Building requirements, rating systems, examination policies, laws, standards, products, and project conditions change. Verify important information against current official documents and engage appropriately qualified professionals before making decisions involving safety, compliance, certification, contracts, cost, or project performance.

3. AI limitations

AI responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, misunderstood, or outdated. ISG FZ-LLC does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or sufficient to achieve certification, examination success, project approval, savings, or any particular outcome.

Do not submit confidential, privileged, export-controlled, security-sensitive, or personal information that you are not authorized to disclose.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for evaluating and verifying responses and for how you use them. You must not use the service to misrepresent AI-generated work as Hany Salem’s personal statement, to obtain or distribute unauthorized examination content, to reproduce protected publications, or for unlawful or harmful activity.

5. LEED and third-party rights

LEED® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Green Building Council® (USGBC®). Ask Hany and ISG FZ-LLC are independent from, and are not sponsored, endorsed, certified, or operated by, USGBC or Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), unless a separate written statement expressly says otherwise.

Third-party publications, standards, trademarks, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. Access to this service does not grant a right to reproduce or distribute those materials.

6. Privacy notice

No account, name, or email address is requested. A signed, secure browser cookie assigns an anonymous identifier so that this browser can return to its conversation history. Conversation titles and messages are encrypted before storage. A salted one-way hash of the connecting IP address is retained only for the current daily rate-limit period; the raw address is not stored in the application database.

Conversations are automatically removed after approximately 180 days of inactivity unless deleted sooner through the conversation controls. Clearing cookies removes this browser’s ability to retrieve its history but does not itself send a deletion request, so delete conversations before clearing cookies when immediate removal is desired.

The service uses Cloudflare for hosting and storage and Microsoft Azure for AI processing. Data may therefore be processed in infrastructure operated by those providers. Do not use the service if you are not authorized to submit the information involved.

7. Availability and changes

ISG FZ-LLC may restrict, suspend, modify, or discontinue the service, its limits, or these terms. Continued use after an updated notice is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Disclaimer and limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. ISG FZ-LLC, its affiliates, personnel, and service representatives—including Hany Salem—will not be liable for decisions, losses, damages, costs, claims, certification outcomes, examination outcomes, or project consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated responses, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
